Fox class have been busy excavating dinosaur eggs this afternoon. They studied the fossils that were left behind. Lots of exciting discoveries made!

Our children in Key Stage 1 had a great day at Loughborough University taking part in a multi skills festival. They took part in 10 activities including running, jumping, hurdling, throwing and balancing. The children did themselves proud – well done everyone!
We use the ‘Talk for Writing’ approach across the school to engage and motivate the children in writing. The approach, developed by the educational trainer and writer Pie Corbett, gives the children opportunities to learn texts off by heart, add actions for key words and recreate their own versions of a text. It has had a hugely positive impact on the children’s willingness and engagement with writing.

We had the Olympic swimmer Amy Smith visit school and talk to us about her swimming career. She got us doing lots of sporting activities too!
